Hello Couples! I have started a new couples meetup group, http://www.meetup.com/Central-Fla-Couples/ 

 

Ray & I belong to several different groups on Meetup. I can go out with a "womans" group nearly every night of the week if I want because there are so many groups & organizers out there.  However, I began to notice that the couples groups don't get together as often as the other meetup groups which limited our chance of getting out with couples to once a month or less if the specific dates didnt work for us. So after discussing it with Ray we decided that we would like the opportunity to create a meetup, not to compete or take away from the other great couple groups on Meetup, but because we want to spend more fun time together and with other couples. We plan to post events that range from art galleries and wine tastings to nights out on the town and lazy days at the beach. We live in Cocoa, but travel throughout Central Florida quite often and love the chance to have people come out with us and explore all the amazing things that this area has to offer! I am a native Floridian and take a lot of pride in showing people that Central Florida is SO much more than Disney World. 

 

For those of you that Ray and I have not had the pleasure to meet yet, I'll let you know a bit more about us. We have been married for 8 years and truly feel so lucky and blessed to have found each other. We have similar interests, quirky sense of humor, and share the same positive, fun outlook on life. The only thing that we felt was missing was the opportunity to meet more happy couples. I joined meetup with the purpose of expanding our social circle and truly have ended up finding so much more than I ever could have predicted or expected. I have met people from all walks of life and different cultural backgrounds, but have come to the realization that we are all members of the meetup family for the same reason: To connect with other people and in the process form great friendships with people that you feel you have known forever, and might never have had the chance to connect with if it wasn't for this avenue.

So I invite you to join us!  Come out to an event, post ideas, and if you feel you would like to host please feel free to contact me. The more people with different interests and ideas can only make the group bigger and better! We really hope to meet more of you and once again cannot express enough how much we look forward to forming lasting friendships.
